| Yamatori10-27-07, 05:45 PM | Hello, When I started creating my character, I wanted a unique race for story purposes, so I sat down with my DM with the Unearthed Arcana and we created an interesting bloodline for me. Now, I knew that by taking a level adjustment, I wouldnt have as many class levels at any given ECL range as the rest of the party. So we further discussed my options on how to build my character. My DM pointed out LA buy-off, a way to reduce or remove LA. However, in the next few minutes of discusion we hit a snag; Bloodlines are taken as levels as your character progresses, not as LA at character creation. Also, you do not get any benifit from your bloodline if you dont have the levels there for it. I am not completely sure about the situation. Does LA buy-off work with bloodlines or should I just go a different route with my character? Thanks :D |
