| nighttree02-23-07, 10:29 PM | I never know where to post template stuff.....so I'll try here I'm looking for an "edit check" on LA for a template I'm working on. Type: becomes Outsider (native) Abilities: +2 Con, -6 Wis, +4 Cha. +4 racial bonus to KN: History & the Planes. +2 racial bonus to Bluff, & Sense Motives. Resistance 15 to Cold, Electric, & Fire. Spell Resistance 5 + HD. Immune to mind effecting effects. Uses Charisma for Will Saves. ECL calculator puts this at +3.3 (which rounds to +4) Does that sound about right ???? or would +3 be fair ??? |

Considering races like the svirfneblin, the drow, and a few others, I'd even go lower. You might want to consider dropping the ability to use Cha for Will saves though if you go that route. |

I'd place it at a solid +2 if it weren't for the decent energy resistances and the Wis->Cha rerouting on Will saves. |

It's basically a one shot character....someone who has been thrown back and forth through time due to exposure to a chaos effect. So allthough it's a PC, it's not something that everyone will be playing. |

| nighttree02-25-07, 12:54 AM | where is there an ECL calculator? Sorry Strogg, I've tried three times to create a link for you....but being of the over 40 type...I'm just not computer savy enough....:banghead: The one I was refering to is called "Soldarins ECL calculator", you may be able to find it by punching that into your search... Or maybe one of the youngins will be so kind as to post a link. It has been my experience that this calculator is a good "starting" point.....but you will still need to look at the calculations with a criticle eye (and maybe ask advice on the boards) before assuming it's 100% accurate. |
