Kemev 04-21-07, 04:12 AM	If it doesn't have a listed level adjustment, it's not usually available as a player character. A few things jump out about the vampire lord template: First, the template only applies to creatures that already have the vampire template. The standard vampire has listed LA of +8, and can only be applied to things with 5 or more HD (creatures with fewer than 5 HD rise as vampire spawn, a separate creature from vampires). Second, the template needs a few tweaks to make it 3.5 compatible. Third, if you were to try to work out a LA, it would likely be quite high. The vampire lord pretty much doubles the power of a standard vampire, not to mention removes the vampire's standard weaknesses.
