| Tilakai04-19-07, 08:39 AM | Hi wasen't really sure where to post this. Last night in the game i was playing as a human mounted fighter/warblade, we fought a troll. Well i died but seein how we were officers in the army we did have the option for a raise. Our CO thought it would be funny to get me reincarnated instead. Our DM decided to roll on the 3.0 table and i end up a leapord. My charcter concept is kinda out the window now but i did get crasy stat boosts. Just wondering what can I do with this. Fighter 3 warblade 1 |
| obrysii04-19-07, 08:42 AM | Well, I don't know what a Leapord is, but if he got turned into a leopard, then he could get the magic item "Arms of the Naga" to wield weapons. Or he can get Dancing weapons. Or "Hands of Man" to weild weapons. |
| Zumarai04-19-07, 08:52 AM | Well, I don't know what a Leapord is, but if he got turned into a leopard You know what he meant, there's no reason to be patronizing… |
| Zodiaq704-19-07, 09:37 PM | Go for Tiger Claw and Stone Dragon schools and PWN!! :) Seriouly, for the Warbalde, any unarmed manuvers should work for you. See if you can trade out a school or two for Setting Sun. I'm pretty new to ToB though. |
| the_great_mighty_nerd04-20-07, 11:11 AM | don't play a warblade next time don't play in a game where they're allowed, overpowered crap like that just lets stupid people be as cheap as smart people and we work hard to keep your kind down. |

There is nothing overpowered about the Warblade (it has been proven). The barbarian can still out damage his ass. |

I assume you think warlocks are overpowered too? Sentence structure and punctuation FTL in your games? If you can't be constructive, take it somewhere else. Retrain your feats to take advantage of your new natural attacks and your maneuvers to Tiger Claw; you're a (magical) beast, might as well act like one (The rules for retraining can be found in PHB2). |
| Wolf7204-20-07, 10:07 PM | Change your names to Hobbes!!!!! (he's a tiger, but you're pretty close) |
| the_great_mighty_nerd04-21-07, 11:44 AM | I assume you think warlocks are overpowered too? Sentence structure and punctuation FTL in your games?warlocks are pretty cheap too but at least they can't replace their feats whenever they feel like it, as for grammar I have a secret for you, read carefully because you'll probably be surprised by this: we are currently talking over the internet, grammar is a joke here. |
| bobothechimp04-21-07, 12:14 PM | If you would read the book before simply condemning it, you would realize a Warblade can only replace one maneuver every two levels, not "whenever they feel like it." Grammar is only a joke when idiots like you make it one. |
| Return of the Flumph04-21-07, 09:47 PM | warlocks are pretty cheap too but at least they can't replace their feats whenever they feel like it, as for grammar I have a secret for you, read carefully because you'll probably be surprised by this: we are currently talking over the internet, grammar is a joke here. I think its time for everyone to make insulting comments about the Great and Mighty Nerd until he goes away. Me first: you're a big, stinky, dum-dum poopoo brain. PWNED! And at your own intellectual level to boot! Now, While its unfortunate you spent a bunch of Fighter feats on mounted combat type stuff, the stat boosts are at least some consolation. If I were you, I would try and talk your DM into letting you have a rider, and use those mounted feats from the MOUNT's perspective. That could be really cool. |
| taradusis04-21-07, 10:17 PM | What is your INT score like and is the DM allowing you to know the leopards racial skills? If you instinctively knew weapon finesse bite or claw that would be good? Can you pounce attack? |
| the_great_mighty_nerd04-21-07, 10:35 PM | I have an int score of 14/15 according to the test (part 1/part 2), its not int its cha 8 according to the test, warblade is cool and all but it is overpowered and it's probably going to stay that way unless it gets changed a lot with errata. If you're a "leapord" just change you're feats around to pwn with your claws instead of a sword. arms of the naga would work too. |

I'm pretty sure he wasn't talking about you, but rather the character's Int score. |
| the_great_mighty_nerd04-22-07, 01:24 PM | actually he posted while I was writing a response to flumph calling me stupid, it just lined up like that so it looked wierd to someone reading it afterwords. |
| stuporhero9304-22-07, 03:08 PM | Sure..... |
| bobothechimp04-22-07, 03:11 PM | It took you more than 18 minutes to post a two sentence reply? |
| the_great_mighty_nerd04-22-07, 05:01 PM | well I had to go and take the test so I could see my exact int score, and I cant be expected to remember it, I have like a 9 wis or something and a 11 str, 14 con, 12 dex. in other words I don't have a lot of class options outside of wizard but when I took the character test It said Bard then Rogue as my top choices, that's just cause I'm not some power gamming ***** |
| Dead_Weasel04-22-07, 05:38 PM | Okay, wow. This thread shouldn't be insulting the_great_mighty_nerd, it should be addressing the OP's question. I'm sorry I took it in this direction, and even what I said was pretty unnecessary. Sorry tgmn. Multiattack and Improved Natural Armor are good options; Improved Natural Attack should be on your list of things to consider the next time you get a feat. Any feat that improves your charge attacks is a good one because you can rake. |
| Grizzled Gryphon04-22-07, 09:39 PM | Hmm, in the rules, where does it specifically say a leopard can't ride a horse? I can see it now, a Heavy Warhorse charging into battle, with a leopard on its back, reigns in its mouth, and clawing any baddies that get close. LOL Hey, you even have natural spurs. |
| Dead_Weasel04-22-07, 11:50 PM | Unfortunately, only common sense disallows leopards riding horses. |
| Cariyaga04-23-07, 12:13 AM | Paraphrased Red Mage Quote: "Common sense is no obstacle to me!" But, actually, it might be possible. If you had it specially trained to let you ride it, that is. |
| the_great_mighty_nerd04-23-07, 12:21 AM | Unfortunately, only common sense disallows leopards riding horses.this is D&D Llamas can ride custard doughnuts if they have the right build and a few select magic items. |
| taradusis04-23-07, 04:33 PM | I was curious about the leopards INT score and whether it was a talking, thinking creature as if it had been "awakened".If the creature doesn't have INT it's supposed to be under DM control? This rule apllies to lycanthropes and people hit by baneful polymorph. Not interested in bashing the great and mighty nerd, just trying to get a handle on what sort of operating conditions the OP is going to be living under. |
| WinDReiN04-23-07, 04:44 PM | If you really don't like your new form, ask your DM if you could make a new character and import it in the game in some way. What's the point of playing if you're not having any fun... |
| the_great_mighty_nerd04-23-07, 11:56 PM | this is D&D Llamas can ride custard doughnuts if they have the right build and a few select magic items. now I think about it, five bucks to the first person who makes this build, if you can make pun pun you can do this. |
| BugHunter04-24-07, 01:07 AM | I was curious about the leopards INT score and whether it was a talking, thinking creature as if it had been "awakened".If the creature doesn't have INT it's supposed to be under DM control? This rule apllies to lycanthropes and people hit by baneful polymorph. Not interested in bashing the great and mighty nerd, just trying to get a handle on what sort of operating conditions the OP is going to be living under. Pulling out the 3.0 PHB it states "A reincarnated character recalls the majority of his former life and form. He retains his Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores, ..." I would suggest taking a look at the book of Savage Species. |
| Nifft04-24-07, 01:10 AM | If you have a decent Int or Wis, you could go Psionic. (Retrain, of course -- you don't want too many Fighter / Warblade levels.) Alternately, go Warblade all the way, digging in to the Tiger Claw school. Those are maneuvers you can use, and it's even got Claw as one of its favored weapons. Death From Above! Sure, you won't be quite as strong as a humanoid with equipment, but at least you'll be viable. Cheers, -- N |
