With the feat, on a successful grapple check to deal damage a lesser lillend does 2d4 + STR modifier instead of its unarmed damage. *Automatic Languages: Common, Sylvan. Bonus Languages: Elven, Orc, Goblin, Gnome, Celestial, Infernal, Abyssal. *Favored Class: Bard. *Level adjustment +0 *Note: lesser lillend's are immune to trip attacks while on the ground. So do you think it is too overpowered for a +0 LA?

Something like this: Lillend Constriction [General] Prerequisites: Lesser lillend, Dex 13 Benefit: While grappling, you may choose to constrict in addition to your other options. This special attack allows you to deal 2d4 + your Str modifier damage, instead of your unarmed strike damage. But yeah, I'm thinking this would be a good, balanced race even if you cut the Int or Wis penalty. A large race without a strength bonus is very interesting to see.

Ogreman 08-03-07, 03:29 PM	It doesn't have extra reach, if you look closely it has the large (long) space/reach. And a "Lesser Lillend" is an attempt to create a brand-new race loosely based on the Lillend. That's what I took it as, anyway.

I figured it was meant to be a new race as well since lillends reproduce asexually.

Well I don't think it is necessary to go that deep into detail. What I meant by the feat thing was like in 3rd edition some races could take the scent ability as a feat if they had a high enough wisdom (like 11 or something). Hmm, maybe I should put some kind of ability requirement, though I don't think dex would be appropriate, STR 13 maybe? As Ogreman mentioned, the creature does not have reach, it is large (long) not large (tall) [like a centaur]. Yes, there are already nagas in D&D, so that is why I didn't want to call them that as their default name, I didn't want to confuse them with that, the naga term is more towards the Oriental Adventures (L5R) races. As for what they are, well I haven't knocked out all of the social and historic details yet. My thought is that there is no real tie to them and real Lillends (or at least no direct obvious ones), they were given the name lesser Lillends merely due to their appearance and natural favortism to the bard class. So looking at the actual abilities, does it seem balanced as a LA +0 race?
