| Eshenaleros04-23-07, 11:44 AM | i've been looking for one and can't find it, so would somebody please give me a link to a level adjustment calculator? i spend a lot of time messing around on the computer inventing new templates and races |
| Romtos04-23-07, 11:54 AM | Yabathewhat's Feature Points is the only thing that's close to correct measurements. (Google it for the topic). |
| Eshenaleros04-23-07, 12:05 PM | hmm. as said in the forum you gave me a link to, that one is a little crappy. i mean, i have a template called radical regenerative that i applied to that, and all i got was a 0.4 level modifier. geez, this thing can regenerate like a troll for pete's sake! |
| YabaTheWhat04-23-07, 12:38 PM | 0.4 level modifier If you're working with "0.4" anything, it isn't my system. That's probably Soldarin's calculator, which I've already said not to use, and have shown that it cannot handle individual benefits or scaling bonuses. |
| Thomar_of_Uointer04-23-07, 06:25 PM | I would recommend against using LA calculators and similar systems, as they cannot fully account for stacking and overlapping abilities. The only fool-proof method for determining LA is actual playtesting. Because that's time-consuming, most people use the acid test. The acid test simply involves comparing the abilities of a human with class levels to a level 1 character of the race. |
