What is the expected lifespan of a Celetial? Half-Celestial? Aasimar? Are any of them immortal (will not die of old age)?

Not sure about the Celestials or the half celestials, but the assimar are human with some celestial heritage which gives them a slightly longer life-span of 150yrs ( planar handbook p6).

Outsiders do not age so a Celestial or half-celestial are effectively immortal from that angle.

But Aasimar (and Tieflings) are Outsiders as well (unless you use the Lesser variant), so what about them?

Their type maybe outsider, but they are still human and the planar handbook give them a life span of 150yrs.

When do they become Middle-Aged, Old or Venerable then?

Adult 15yrs, Middle age 45yrs, Old 68yrs and Venerable 90yrs.

Native outsiders age. So half-celestials age. However, I don't think it is stated anywhere how quickly they age. Since aasimar and tieflings live somewhat longer than normal humans, we can infer half-celestials must have longer life spans than normal humanoids, but it is going to have to be a DM’s call.

Aha.

Well, you could make aging tables for Half-Celestials and -Fiend and -Dragons in several ways. You could say that they don't age at all (but they do have a maximum age), or that they reach the Middle-Age, Old and Venerable stages of life at an age twice that of their non-Half kin (not the Celestial/Fiend/Dragon half, mind you).

You got mixed up with the posts. Aasimar and Tieflings are native outsiders and yes they have lifespans just slightly longer then human but Half-Celestials actually have the outsider type not native like a Tiefling. So again they do not age.

Wait, so all half-celestials are forever new-born infants?

Somehow that dosnt quite live up to the legends.....

Ha Ha, Like most immortal beings it would seem they grow to maturity and then stop in the peek of there youth and strength. Very few outsiders ever appear old or sickly unless they choose to. In FR cannon the three siblings who are in service to Helm, they are all half-celestials and they are several thousand years old now easily.

But Half-fiends and Half-celestials are normally native outsiders, according to the templates, so that the native subtype applies a lifespan can't be the argument. I'm gonna have to go with DM's call here, or else Outsiders do not age unless stated otherwise.

According to a second edition fluff from Warriors of Heaven some celestials do have a limited life span. That is however one piece of fluff I never liked, to me it kind of goes against the whole concept of what a celestial is. I don't know whether certain celestials being mortal was carried over to third edition or not. I don't recall seeing anything on how half-celestials age however.

As the half-celestial/half-fiends have a base race race that would/should be taken into consideration for aging, so so I would use the base races age then probably double it.

Half-breeds are native outsiders too.
