| BugHunter09-04-07, 02:02 PM | Lesser planetouched in Player's Guide to Faerun. |
| j3st3r09-04-07, 02:04 PM | There are couple with LA+1: - Chaos Gnome (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/ros_gallery/83297.jpg) (Races of Stone) - Jaebrin (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/MM5_Gallery/106313.jpg) (Monster Manual 5) EDIT: and of course Aazimar |
| Prub09-04-07, 05:13 PM | wish I had the Players guide to faerun. As for those other I am looking for a NON LA race.. |
| AtsuiShoto09-04-07, 05:26 PM | Sorcerers are ALREADY scrambling to make up for retarded spell level progression, so a LA of even +1 is almost never worth it. There's the Gruwaar from Dragon Magazine #317. They are, in my mind, PERFECT for single-classed (plus PrCs, of course) sorcerers. Small size with 30' movement (check the magazine or CrystalKeep.com for details) a decent social spell-like ability, and a Dex and Charisma bonus with no LA or racial hitdice? Sign me up! |
| Archangel_Tyrael09-04-07, 05:29 PM | Someone comes looking for this about once a month, but I never remember what we find for them. I found none with LA 0, and about 5 with LA +1. |
| Borris09-04-07, 08:22 PM | Let's see. Races with a +2 racial modifier to Charisma, but no LA: Star Elf (+2 Cha, -2 Con); Unapproachable East Spirit Hellbred (+2 Cha, -2 Con); Fiendish Codex II Spellscale (+2 Cha, -2 Con); Races of the Dragon Looks like you have no choice but to take a race with a Con penalty, and a name that starts with S. |
| GawainBS09-05-07, 06:53 AM | Spellscales? They don't even have LA. |
| Xultanis09-06-07, 01:42 AM | One good thing about going the Spellscale route is that you also get the Meditations. A 15 minute meditation in the morning for a skill bonus and a temporary metamagic feat. Want to get empower, but don't want to waste a feat? Spellscale. Meditate for 15 minutes and you've got 3 uses of it for the day. It's not the real deal, but you can also float Eschew Materials, Still, Silent, add an extra 2d6 damage vs. Good/Evil, and others....It can add a *little* extra versatility to a sorceror. |
| Prub09-06-07, 10:34 AM | sounds like a good choice, but I do not own that book. Oh well I might go with another class instead. but thank you all for your imput. |
| AtsuiShoto09-06-07, 11:22 AM | You really ought to take a look at the Gruwaar. I'm having a hard time figuring out if the glut of information I'm finding about them (even with a simple Google search!) means they are OGL material, or just popular... so I'm not sure I should copy-paste them here for you. |
