02-02-08, 06:39 AM Not really. Most of them tend to have Racial HD, so it limits when you can play one. Synad and Daelkyr Half-Blood have both been mentioned. There is the Pseudonatural Template is a +1 or a +2, IIRC.

Dont use Level Adjustment. Aboleths are 8 HD (Perfect for a level 5 to 10 party), and can gain class levels in various things. Or you could gain HD as an Aboleth (they get... big). A perfect alien race to play.

A perfect alien race to play.Uh, It doesn't work like that. Aboleths aren't available for PC play exactly because they don't have a level adjustment attached. They aren't a PC race. Heck, they weren't even given a Savage Species progression.

Just out of curiosity, why doesn't Elan work for you?
Telling us that may help us make better suggestions...

Anyways, after the above-mentioned, the lowest ECL Aberration I know of is the Skum, which has 2 HD and a +3 LA. Sorry.

Ixitxachitl 2 HD, +1 LA (MMII)

Symbiotic Template (Savage Species) +1 LA (kind of hard to get a good combination though)

Insectile Creature Template (Savage Species) +2 LA

The Pseudonatural template (LoM) is +4 LA and makes you an Outsider.
