| Poisonelf04-14-07, 11:17 AM | Does anyone know of a race from any campaign setting that is a large sized creature? -- Omitting Savage Species, of course... |
| snakebliskan04-14-07, 11:24 AM | Goliath, umm half minotaur, plus any monster race that can be played as a pc. |
| Part-Human204-14-07, 11:58 AM | Yes, I know of one but Goliath is incorrect (they only are sort-of large). If it's alright to play a Monster as a PC then there are many, many "races" that are Large. |
| Krusk04-14-07, 12:20 PM | Loads, look through the MM1-4. half ogre from races of destiny is my favorite. |
| Draginja04-14-07, 04:05 PM | Dragonkin from Draconomicom. |
| MikeN04-14-07, 04:33 PM | World of Warcraft setting (not sure it's WotC or 3rd party). You can play a Zandalari or Drakkari troll from their monsters of Warcraft supplement -- they are large with +1 LA. Or you can play a WoW half-ogre from the Horde supplement book -- their racial class gets to be large-sized eventually. |
| snakeman83004-14-07, 05:20 PM | Virtually every book with creatures in it has some with [CreatureName] characters in the entry. They work well and a number of them are large. |
| WolfHati04-14-07, 07:13 PM | Why is a half-ogre large and a half giant only medium (albeit with powerful build)? And would I be correct in assuming that the half-ogre is the lowest LA large race? |
| LuxVeritatis04-15-07, 02:11 PM | And would I be correct in assuming that the half-ogre is the lowest LA large race? It's the lowest LA large race I was able to find when I set out to look for that very thing. There are a few other LA +2, but they also have racial HD, giving them a higher ECL adjustment (bariaurs from BoED and centaurs from MM). 1/2-ogre was in fact the only large race I could find which had no racial HD. |
