This is an evil sub-race I created (quickly), it was inspired by the history of the elves and drow. I'd like to know what everyone thinks and what needs work.

SHADOWMAUL PANYNX
The Shadowmaul are the vile, evil, sinister sub-race of panynx. They have never been good, or had the connection to nature other panynx posses. Once the panynx tolerated them, but then they tried to make war on the others, seeking to enslave them, this ended in their defeat and exile. It was after this that Vraikus first appeared to them, he offered them great power and a chance to take revenge on the other panynx.

Personality: Shadowmaul Panynx tend to be violent killers, often slaying innocent people for nothing more then the fun of it. They are also sinister and devious, and can be found acting behind the scenes. Every Shadowmaul is a skilled manipulator, they have even been known to manipulate the vile drow on several occasions. Surprisingly while they are killers and manipulates they are also well disciplined and patient, often spending years on a plan or scheme.

Physical Description: Shadowmaul Panynx appear much like the Wildmane panynx, except that they are all black, with green eyes. They often use their Disguise spell-like ability to assume the form of their goodly cousins.

Relations: Shadowmaul look down on all other races. They see the goodly races as weak and the evil races as potential allies or slaves. They often have alliances with the drow, thou these tend to end badly after the drow realize they have been manipulated, thou non will ever admit it.

Alignment: Shadowmaul Panynx are always evil, and also tend to be of the lawful alignment. This is because while they are killers and manipulates they are also well disciplined and patient.

Panynx Lands: Unlike the other panynx Shadowmaul make their homes in cities. They have no lands of their own, having lost them after their betrayal of the other panynx.

Religion: The evil Panynx that choose to destroy and ravage nature worship Laenya’s son Vraikus.

Language: Shadowmaul Panynx speak a sinister language that sounds like a cross between Panynx and Abyssal.

Names: When a Shadowmaul is born they are given a name, when they reach adulthood they must choose a new name. This name is often designed to strike fear and be sinister.

Male Names: Bloodvun, Clawain, Gorelaw, Leoreaper, Savagcer

Female Names: Assasriel, Bloodluna, Dreance, Gorehaze, Painrana,

Adventurers: Shadowmaul adventure to kill and gain material wealth. Most encountered are assassins or thieves, many lead thieves and assassin guilds, wether as the true leader, or by manipulate the true leader.

I think its a bit weak for a +2 LA, although it is definitively better than a +1... Either give them something remarkable (spell resistance, size etc.) to justify the +2 adjustment, or cut one of the stat adjustments and leave it at +1.

Those are my two coins though :)

I was thinking of a SR 1O, and a +2 bonus on bluff. I was trying to stay away from SR because I thought it would make them to much like the Drow. I also need to spend more then 1/2 an hour on them.
