My next campaign.. [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-30-08, 11:18 PM My DM announced he wants to slow things down for the next campaign we run. Fine by me, however when he says slow things down he means everyone has to be an LA+1 or LA+2 race(we would all have the same LA) and I wanted to play an Eternal Blade.... which means i need to be an Elf...

So i need help finding a template i can apply to Elves which would give them a +1 LA.... or if there is another Elf other than Half-Drow(I don't like half-elves and DM hates Drow so it pisses us both off) and Ghost Elf(-4con... wtf
!?) anyone knows of I would appreciate it.

I could always ask him to make an exception for me since he is imposing the +1 LA but i wanna try to find a legal way to work around it before i ask him to bend the rules.

04-30-08, 11:51 PM Just toss any of the hundreds of LA+1 templates on top of the Elf base. Which one depends on what you want to be best at.

05-05-08, 06:40 PM Right, where do they appear? I only found +3's in Monster Manuals for things like half dragon and half celestial etc.

05-05-08, 06:47 PM Not familiar with eternal blade but it sounds like a melee class... fast healing and immunity to stunning, critical hits, mind-affecting effects and the like would probably be pretty useful to such a character. Have you considered grabbing Libris Mortis and going Necropolitan Elf and taking the Evolved Undead template (+1 LA, may be taken multiple times) once or twice?

05-05-08, 07:55 PM Races of the Dragon has the draconic template it has a +1LA. You will remain an elf and gain a subtype.

for +1 LA.

Personally, I would just ask for extra class levels.

05-06-08, 09:04 PM Yeah extra class levels would be nice but hes trying to slow down the games by making us take LA's so we dont go leveling like crazy, so he already said no to starting with an extra level... also he said no Necro whatever elves

and no multi headed craziness....

didnt look at draconic yet however or symbiotic thanks for the ideas
