Modron paladin, suffered brain damage which allowed him to fully comprehend what "evil" is, and doesn't want any part in it so he goes the opposite direction. Modron wizard, unlocked the inner workings of the universe, but accidentally blew up several cogs as part of an experiment and is trying to deepen his understand of magic so he can finish the experiment properly. Modron cleric, was from Mechanus, got lost on the Prime. Modron ranger->horizon walker, sent on a mission to chart a path around the entire Great Wheel, probably passing through the Prime as part of his route. |

In Planescape it was, IIRC, a LN Wizard 5--it spent time trying to create Spellhaunts, as what it wanted was to be able to truly create something (because modrons are not able to reproduce). So you might look into the reasons why the modron went rogue and consider the new thoughts and urges it might have--such as reproduction--and go from there. If you like the idea that sometimes Primus 'encourages' modrons to go rogue, then the Ranger -> Horizon Walker that Thomar suggested would be a good idea for one who is charting the Planes. |
