jet black hair and silver eyes and stand a bout 5'10''. The moust elvs that are seen are young elves you on a quest all night elve moust do befor returning home is kill at lest 2 drow to revange there dead king that the drow killed.

there will be more sat about later

07-10-07, 03:58 PM So what are you looking for at this point? General opinions? Or was this just to state your intentions before you fleshed them out?

I think the idea could be cool, if done well. Are you aiming for no level adjustment, or are you planning on loading them up with abilities.

You didn't say if they looked like normal elves or not but what about giving them the ablity to change their apperance so they can look like drow for short periods of time, so they can get close and kill them. :twocents:

07-21-07, 05:40 PM I'm not a fan of more elven or dwarven subraces, nor am I fan of the idea that they ALL hate and want to destroy drow just because the drow killed some king generations back.

This "drow suck" concept you have going sounds like it'd work better as a prestige class.

I agree. I also think there is a race that hates Drow already. I'm not sure if you've heard of it, it's called a high elf. It's in the PHB somewhere. Just give it a level of ranger, and its perfect, quite unorthodox.

Are you going for Warcraft-like flavor, or do they just have the same name?

If you're going for something Warcraft-like, I'd recommend starting with high-elves as a base point. Perhaps you could add in a +4 Hide bonus in dark settings, and remove the +2 to Search and the auto-search ability.

Slightly different weapon proficiencies could work too. The bow is a must, but perhaps you could substitute the longsword and rapier for something else.

That's all that comes to mind right now.

All Drow are encountered underground, in numbers, in the dark. So this new race of elves sends out their young ones to fight what is basically a war. But they don't move in military units, they are all out as individuals with zeal.

Don't you think most of them would come back very dead? How would a "slow reproducing" elven race ever recover from that if all of their young went off to fight. I would bet less than 5% would come back alive.
