Threefists 05-01-08, 07:39 PM	If you go to 'Search Wizards' and type in Ogre Mage, you'll come across the 'revised' 3.5 edition of the Ogre Mage, which IMHO, is far superiour to the existing model and is only a CR 5 challenge instead of a CR 8, but is much, much more effective and fits it's role as a Ogre Leader much better.
HernetheHunter 05-02-08, 01:05 AM	There was an issue of Dragon that did an ecology on the Ogre Mage and gave variant abilities like a Psionic-based and Shadow-based Ogre Mage.

The Monster Makeover (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dd/20060721a) article on the Ogre Mage was one of the best articles in that series. It definatly gave Ogre Mages a better place in the game. If only someone published a 'monster class' for this version of the Ogre Mage rather than the MM one!
