Anyone who is familiar with the Dread Necromancer class is familiar with the fact that over it's 20 levels the character slowly takes on undead characteristics, before finally becoming an undead completely.
Psions go from being normal people to minds almost too powerful for their bodies
and Druids become sheer forces of elemental might.

Right now I am working on a Drow warlock, and im not sure whether to use the fey pact, the fiend pact, or the pact with the "stars and the darkness between them." After talking to my DM he said that over the course of my levels I may begin to take on differant physical characteristics from the amount of eldritch energy channeling through my Drow's body, those physical changes depending on which pact I choose.

Then he asked my opinion on what these changes should be. His guidelines for me were that the changes be physical and noticeable, but nothing over the top.

So I ask you, the gamers of the world, what changes would you suggest for my Drow? What do you believe would be caused by a fiend pact, a fey pact, or a stars and darkness pact? Obviously the three would be differant, so what are your ideas and opinions?

(He suggested these changes to my Drow may be common among his fellow Drow of the same pact, im not sure if he is wanting to use a cult angle or what, but eh knowing him it will be entertaining and almost kill us)

Your help is greatly appreciated, the more ideas the better!

As the priestess of Lolth deal with demons almost every day, a fiendish pact would be most likely.
Signs could be small horns which point out of the hair, sharp teeth, reptilian eyes, or claws.
Traditionally, I don't see drow having any dealings with fey.

Well, depending on what the fey are like in that campaign world, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume that drow might have dealings with evil-aligned fey, since drow are still elves. And there are some pretty nasty evil fey out there.
Still, I think I'd probably second the pact with fiends, unless maybe you want to go for hooking up with some kind of Lovecraftian "Elder Horror" buried deep within the earth, even below the Underdark...

Now, are we talking about just cosmetic physical changes, or things that would actually have in-game mechanics?

For a fiendish pact, I think Naderion covered most of it, although you could very well go with a tail as well. You'd eventually be mistaken for a Tiefling on a regular basis.
If you go for something more than just cosmetic stuff, sprouting leathery wings would fit the flavor perfectly.

For evil fey, I think cosmetic changes would probably end up making your elven features more pronounced, wilder-looking and a bit scary - longer, more pointed ears; a pronounced tilt to your eyes; a longer more triangular face; maybe even growing very gaunt and thin. Horns would also be appropriate for this, although they'd be more satyr-like... Check out some of the illustrations of elves from some other games like Shadowrun or some of the painted miniatures websites for some seriously wild looking elves. :)
It would also be appropriate to end up sprouting fairy wings.

Gods only know what you'd end up looking like with an "alien" pact, lol. Third eye? Probably long bug-like fingers, maybe have your eyes start to migrate over to the sides of your head like an animal's. Maybe your skin goes so black that you start to resemble an obsidian statue, or a walking humanoid black hole. Maybe you could make up a table of body parts and every time you gain a level, make a roll on it, then roll on a table of weird effects to see what changes happen to that body part. you could end up looking totally non-humanoid... :coolcthul

In any case, I think it'd be highly appropriate to end up changing your type to "outsider" at 20th level like a monk.

I like your ideas, and I have decided to go with the Fiend pact.
The alien pact was tempting, but I have no desire to contract myself to a lovecraftian entity.
Knowing my DM hed had tentacles coming out of my face.
ANYWAYS
I heard the suggestion of horns, what kind of horns did you mean?
2 types came into mind, 4e tiefling horns and Grazzt darth maul horns.
By the way, we do not use 4e tieflings.
And my drow is already obsidian black...

Then again if I went with a fey pact I could be a blonde :D joking ofcourse.

Hm, would skin or hair change you think?
Would it be more reasonable to say he'd change that Grazzt purple color or grow small obsidian scales? Would hair stay white, or turn the color of obsidian as well.

Ive already decided he would be a bit more stout than most, and with very noticeable bright orange eyes.

(and I had a talk with my DM, he said other Drow would share these as there are underground cults, cults of what fiend? I have no idea, maybe Grazzt or Orcus or something)

I don't know about anyone else, but Lolth seems like an appropriate fiend for a drow cult.

Well, yes Lloth is a demoness.
Im not sure why a male drow would ever make a pact with her though.
She just seems too chaotic to ever honor a long-term pact with anything.
Plus, im not very fond of her.
Though you do make a valid point, if one wanted they could attempt a pact with Lloth, who knows.
This games not going on till Saturday, so im good on time and still have time to think and consider.
I had an idea for the fiend, and the stars and darkness pact:
Fiend Pact- Lithe and toned, bright orange eyes, pointed teeth and short horns, on the taller side, maybe longer ears that mimic horns?
Stars And Darkness Pact- on the shorter side of drow, around 4 1/2 feet, skin as black as the emptiness between the stars, bright green eyes, a few pointed teeth, and im thinking just no hair at all.

Im leaning towards stars and darkness (not the real name for the pact I do not believe but I am not really sure what a shorter name for it would be, please enlighten me if you know) But with the darkness pact im thinking no nose. Kind of like the gith with those nostril slits, also fairly firm on the no hair part.. Looks nice and alien to me.
My DM said he liked both ideas, but as always opinions are wanted.

Not sure why im liking the idea of nostril slits...but I do.
