Are there stats for a panda anywhere? I was thinking of just using bear stats and calling it a panda but there are 3 types of bears and pandas do have some differences, so I am looking for some info/ideas on the matter.

My buddy was thinking about making an Anthropomorphic Panda Monk for an Anthropomorphic campaign and we decided on the black bear stats form MM – perfect.

I don't think any D&D books have Panda stats. Oriental Adventures might have something, though.

Why do you want Panda stats anyways? I can't really see what good a Panda would be for anything, besides being cute. Not to mention it can only survive by eating bamboo, which might be a burden if you don't live in an Asian type setting, and even if you did you would always need to be in a bamboo forest, or you will have to carry around enough of it to keep that big bear fed while he can't forage naturally.

Oriental adventures has nothing. Sorry.

Just take a rat and replace the disease with a climb speed. No, wait, that's a squirrel.

A black bear is probably close enough.

Exactly :) Tbh I am not looking for a panda as a pet, was thinking of walking around with it as a druid. Just the panda expression/eyes from Genma Saotome in panda form are inspiration enough ^^

S&S d20 Warcraft has stats for an anthropomorphic panda. The cuddly, kung-fu, hard-drinking kind of panda.

What with that film coming out, I see a lot more Panda Monks in the future…

Maybe take a black bear, add a bit of wisdom, and remove a little strength. Then make it anthropomorphic. It looks like everyone is playing anthropomorphic animals(except for celestial kin  ) now. You might want to specify its an herbivore, and give them a boost to climb too, since they can climb pretty well.

By the gods, please tell me they're not making a Warcraft film? If I have to see a pandaren brewmaster ever again I will kill someone. Probably a pirate.

If PvP (http://www.pvponline.com/) has shown me anything, pandas have a a racial bonus against snarky blond mac users.

Hehe, South Park. Perhaps a +4 racial bonus on Diplomacy checks made to ask for sexual favors?

No, there is an animated film coming out, later this year I believe, called Kung Fu Panda.

You know, I'm not an expert in either japanese or mandarin, but I'm pretty sure "pandaren" mixes both languages. If it was japanese, it would be "pandajin" and if it were mandarin it would be "shaomonren". I think.

I keep conjuring images of Kuma's alternate form in Tekken 3.

That was such a cuddly panda....

Do I forsee a Panda combatant wielding a Bamboo quarterstaff?

Nah. They just end up eating them.
