The problem is that there is pitifully little information online, in books, and under beds as to how the pixie's arrows are made and how much they would cost. The MM states that they are an (Ex) attack, which leads me to believe it's on the fly, whereas the Savage Species version states that they have craft special arrows, which indicated a highly limited craft magic arms. Which one should be correct for fair and balanced game play, and if they're not on the fly type arrows, how much should they cost, and how long should it take to make them? For a refresher, there are two type, one causes memory loss without loss of skills, feats, and class abilities (lame lame lame). The other is a sleep arrow, which can put any HD critter to sleep (so long as they are not immune and fail their saving throw). Neither deal damage of any sort. The closest I've come to the sleep arrow is in the DMG, but it's just not quite right. The save is much lower, it deals non-lethal damage, and it's a magical arrow to boot (+1). My opinion is that either they're significantly less expensive, and need not have a masterwork or magical enhancement first, or they're simply exchanged on the fly at the point of attack. I favor the latter. DM favors a version in the DMG, but isn't sure. |
