The Primordial Template says it can be applied to any giant, so does that mean Half Giant counts? IE You'd have a half giant with -2 str, -2 dex, +4 int, +4 cha? Too funny. Not to mention, their favored class would be warlock. Primordial template is found in Secrets of Xen'Drik.

*Edit*
Primordial is an inherited template that can be added to any giant. It does not have an LA so the complete LA of a Primordial Half Giant would be +1, not to mention they cast spell like abilities at +1 lvl, have their own spell like ability, along with keeping the original giant's races benefits. I realize that this template is made for typical giants, but when added to a half giant, I can't help but think of the term, broke.

I'm not familiar with the primordial template but half-giants are of the Giant type, as noted in both their racial description and monster entry, so it should work unless the template specifically says otherwise.

Wrong.

If there are no LA listed, it definetely isn't a LA +0 template.

There actually isn't any LA +0 templates (or maybe the Necropolitan from LM) besides dragon material. If the LA isn't listed or is --, it's not meant for player characters. If you feverishly want to play one, use LA of 2x CR increase. So if the Primordial gives +1 to creature's CR, it might give +2 LA. If the CR modifier is 0, treat it as LA +1. And even then, acid test it!

And that is why under level adjustment, that it says it is the same as the base creature, which refers to the Giant? The LA is 0 and before you tell someone is wrong, why don't you actually get the book, check it out, read up on it, before commenting.

luedre, you could have said that it has level adjustment of +0. When you say something, say it so it cannot be misunderstood as I did. It makes things easier :)

If all you said is true (I don't have the said book), and there are those nice benefits without serious drawbacks, I do agree with you with the statement: "broke".

Giants are usually meat bags with tons of Racial HD and HP, usually better in melee. In the case of an Ogre, Troll or Fire Giant, this template makes them not-so-bad warlocks, so it's balanced. But in the case of the Half-Giant, it makes him a great warlock (or psion, or wizard, or sorcerer), who can still hold his ground in melee (thanks to Powerful Build), all that for a +1 LA. In the specific case of the Half-Giant, the total LA should become +2.

Alright, it says that it has the same LA as the base creature.

Half-giants are definitely the giant type.

I'd argue that the template doesn't make a true giant a good warlock though.

I only allow selected eberron things in my game anyway, so I just won't allow the template to the PCs. Still seems like a mild hiccup though.
