Psionic Lich? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-16-07, 12:55 PM I've noticed there's a Lich for Wizards/Sorcerors (Lich, MM), a Lich for Clerics (Dry Lich, Sandstorm), and a Lich for Rogues (Sepulchral Thief, Cityscape). Is there is a Psionically themed Lich? Having one in my campaign would be awesome. I know I can just use the regular Lich, but if there's one designed for Psionics, I'd like to see it.

08-16-07, 01:13 PM 1) You can't actually use the standard lich without houseruling it. Manifester levels are not caster levels, and manifesters don't qualify for Craft Wonderous Item.

2) The closest thing published to a lich for manifesters is the spectral savant, which is mechanically broken like most of CPsi.

3) Even so, "psionic lich" is the perfect example of The Psionic X (see the FAQ at the top of the psi forum or in my sig). You'd need something similar mechanically but designed with psionics in mind, both from a rules standpoint and a fluff standpoint. The most popular of these from the psi forum is the Mindborn, a template published in Untapped Potential (again, see the FAQ in my sig).

If I was running a psinoics game I would use a psychis ogre psionic lich as a BBEG

You mean, the undead lich that has absolutely nothing to do with being "psionic" and only exists because the adventure that originally featured it, If Thoughts Could Kill, dealt with the creation of a new discipline of psionics called psychonecromancy, with powers like psianimate dead?

It's better than the spectral savant, yes. It's *not* a psionic template.
