Well i have a question concerning the use of the greater invisibility that the pixies have.

Our gm made a arena, and said we could make a char with any race. Maximum ecl 5.

One of my adversaries is a pixie cleric.

The question is how long will the greater invisibility will last untill she activates it again?

I imagine it's one round per caster level. I don't remember offhand what the caster level is for a pixie. This is, or course, if it's a spell-like ability. Without my MM handy, I can't remember if it's a spell-like ability or a supernatural ability.

Of course, by ECL 5, you should have access to see invisibility by that point. Heck, you could play a 5th level warlock and could do that at will. Taking down the pixie would be quite easy at that point...

Pixies can remain invisible indefinitely, and can turn it off and on like a light switch, you're screwed :D

Edit: it is not a spell-like ability
Greater Invisibility (Su): A pixie remains invisible even when it attacks. This ability is constant, but the pixie can suppress or resume it as a free action.

Well that is for the monster version, how about for the player version ?

That's why I gave two answers. I couldn't remember which applied! :D

I'm assuming they're the same. Again, without my MM with me, I can't say for sure.

Again, make sure you have access to see invisibility or something similar. That ECL 5, level 1 pixie is only going to have one non-racial hit die. If this is supposed to be an arena fight, I would strongly encourage an LA +0 race. All you have to do is hit that pixie once and it goes down.

I don't know what you mean, both as a PC and as an NPC, pixies can permanently go invisible at will as a free action whenever they want. The drawback is as a level 5 character they have only one HD.

Do you have time to remake your character?

If so, play a straight, 5th level wizard. Here's what you do:

Round 1: cast See Invisibility (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/seeInvisibility.htm).

Round 2: cast Melf's Acid Arrow (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/acidArrow.htm). Better yet, use one of the many lesser orb spells. They will do more damage, and you should have access to them if you're playing an enlightened fist. Either way, there's so spell resistance or save allowed.

Dead in one hit!
