So I guess this falls under the "race" category but, I'm looking for a way to bring re-animation to the Construct or Living Construct creature type. Anyone know of any existing method or would anyone like to take a crack at bending the rules? If there is absolutely no way then what about some kind of giant scrap metal golem or something. I'm sure I could just conjure up an image of a regular golem made of spare parts and whatnot but I'm looking for something a little more... sinister.

I've it pictured as a shambling mass of rusted metal. An eerie groan issues forth as the abomination stumbles to a halt, once cold glowing eyes now seem black and fathomless.

I know constructs have immunities to Necromancy effects but what about the elemental spirit that gives life to a construct?

Any way to remove the immunities?

Incarnate template turns the golem into a giant, IIRC. This should make it eligible for reanimation effects.

It's been a while, but over on the Eberron boards there was an "Un-Forged" posted. Essentially a zombie-esque warforged. That may be what you're looking for.

Also remember that, if it's dead but was once, in a way alive, like a flesh golem, it might be able to be reanimated.

Hey, there's a good question... does the elemental possessor spirit grant immunity to a flesh golem from a necromancer's animate dead? Or would the spell cause it to have a Dr. Strangelove-esque fight w/ itself?

Technically, it should be immune. However, you might want to let parts of the body be animated for pure fun.

In Magic of Incarnum, the soulfused construct template says that a soulfused construct can be raised or resurrected, also, the construct gains the living construct subtype and it has a constitution score :D but it can't heal naturally however :weep:
