Question About LA and ECL [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-25-07, 12:07 AM OKay, I want to play a Lizardfolk character of level 10. They have a LA of +1 and and 2 levels of 'humanoid'. So when making my character, he will have 7 class levels?

I know you didn't ask for alternatives, but if you don't mind if your character is Small size (or would prefer it if you are going for a non-melee based build), the Poison Dusk Lizardfolk from MM3 is pretty much superior to the basic Lizardfolk, and may be one of the few races actually worth its ECL.

Very correct.

Also keep in mind, he's only treated as a level 9 character for the purpose of ability score increases, bonus feats, maximum skill points, and other level-dependent effects.
