The Powerful Build racial trait (goliaths, half-giants) allows a character to be considered one size category larger when it is advantageous to him/her. As medium creatures, they can use large weapons and qualify for feats/prestige classes designed for large creatures. To the point--Does a monk with the powerful build trait attack unarmed like one size category larger? If so, if it learns the feat (In Oriental Adventures--I believe it's called Mastery of the Open Hand or something) that allows it to attack as one size category larger, does it stack with Powerful Build to allow the monk to attack like a Huge creature? Just wondering.

This question has been asked before. The answer I saw was no, their unarmed strike is not considered large to put it simply. You can likely search the forums for a full explanation of why, if you need it.
