Question on Wemics [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-27-07, 06:06 PM My Husband and I have been playing 2e for the last year. We just changed over to 3.5e about a month ago. My question is are Wemics still in 3.5? One of my husband's (he is DM) players had a Wemic PC and he was thinking about allowing it again in 3.5. If the Wemics are still around what book can they be found in and do they have a template? Any help on the subject would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

02-27-07, 06:12 PM They are either in the Forgotten Realms Sourcebook, or in Races of Faerun. They are pretty decent... they have a few monster levels and an LA of 3 or 4 (i believe, it might be 2), which means that they aren't ideal for PC's until the mid to late game, but they are still pretty cool.

If you find the Centaur-as-player rules, wemics are very similar in mechanics build.

02-27-07, 09:54 PM Have wemics been errata'ed? They were LA+3 in races of faerun, at a time when the centaur was LA+3 as well.

Considering how statistically similar they both are, now that the centaur has been revised to LA+2, should the wemic's LA be downgraded to +2 as well?:)

Keep in mind that the tauric template has no level adjustment listed, it's intended for monster and not characters.

Actually, according to the 3.5 update booklet article for MM2, the tauric template has a LA of (3 + base creature's LA).:)
