09-29-07, 10:50 AM No. Technically, Elves can't even be played in D&D, but most people houserule that they can be played and can use a greatsword, so I guess it ultimately comes down to your play style.

Elves are small size, and as such can use a small greatsword.
It should also be noted that they have a little-known racial bonus of +50 to all profession (cookie-making) and craft (delicious) checks.

We don't know, 4th edition hasn't been released yet and none of the developer journals so far has brought up any actual rules.
