I need a couple answers about improving humans. I don't have as many books as I would like, but I'm about to buy more, so you can use anything you own to help.

1. Is there a way for a human to gain the living construct type? The build I'm making would benefit greatly from the traits, but a warforged character just wouldn't work (problems with the composite armor).

2. Failing that, what is the fastest way for a human to qualify for the warshaper PrC (Complete Warrior) without using druid or the divine minion template? If I can't have living construct, then the warshaper immunities will be enough to get the point across.

Thank you in advance. In case you're curious, I'm trying to make Inspector Gadget. If you have any advice for that, I'd be happy to hear it.

If you don't want the composite plating you can lose it with a feat from the Eberron book. I forget what it is called, but its like the other armor feats in that you take it at 1st level. If that doesn't work, try talking with your DM and exchanging the free human feat for the LCon type.

An effigy can be made of any creature so you can have a 1hd human effigy and then have Awaken Construct cast on it. I don't know what type you become, since I have not read that particular spell.

Changelings (MM3 or eberron) have the shapechanger subtype, so they can qualify for said prc by 5th lv.:)

To penchant: Thanks. I don't have any Eberron stuff, but I'll keep that in mind.

To runestar: I thought that changeling could qualify, but I wasn't sure. Thank you for confirming that.

How about the Renegade Mastermaker prestige class from Magic of Eberron? Artificer or caster class that incorporates construct parts into the body, ending up as a living Construct type.

What problem do you have with the warforged's composite plating? Bear in mind that the standard, non-feat-augmented version doesn't count as armour, so it doesn't interfere with monk abilities and the like.

Teron Gorefiend: For the build to work properly, he needs to have a robe. Composite plating doesn't let you wear robes.

Captain_Kobold: Could you post the entry requirements and how many levels that PrC is? So far I only have 8 absolutely required levels, so I have plenty of room to move around.

Thanks.

Its a 10 level class (8 of which improve spellcasting). Requirements are craft skill 8 ranks from a list. Craft magic arms and armour, and Wondrous item.
