The template would give them the latent abilities listed there (improved Intelligence and Strength), but their power-ups would be a bit different. I'm thinking that you should use the taint rules for their special abilities. http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/campaigns/taint.htm Say that they have some kind of scalable rage, giving them natural armor, regeneration, and physical ability score boosts for some length of time (maybe one minute per level), at +1 NA and +2 to ability scores times the amount of taint the character wishes to take on. I'm not sure what else might be entailed by the ability, since it's just an article.
