Race with bonus to Use Magic Device? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a race that gets a bonus to Use Magic Device. I'm planning on making a Warlock based on "Use Magic Device", so I'm curious if such a race even exists.

06-19-07, 07:24 AM I don't think there is any, but go with a race that has a Charisma bonus.
Or a human and take Magical Aptitude.

I would say it is a bad choice.
A race with a charisma bonus and then pick Magical Aptitude.
Spellscale, Lesser Aasimar, Star Elf, and many others.

Not saying it's perfect, just saying it's there. And being able to emulate humanoid races without a skill check can be pretty useful.

But aside from Mongrelfolk, I can't find a race with a bonus to UMD. There are races you could houserule a bonus into, though; Dream Dwarves, Kenku, and Imaskari come to mind.
