12-30-07, 03:31 PM Hi, its been awhile since I've been here. Glad to see some of the same and some new stuff as well.

My question at this time is "What races have a bonus to Strength and Constitution with little or no Level Adjustment." All books are available from the Core and Forgotten Realms.

Earth Genasi has +2 Str,+2 Con,-2 Wis,-2 Cha and +1 LA

I'm looking for other races like this with +2 or less LA and no aditional Hit die. As Hit die adds to the LA and or ECL.

(and a bad ass Racial subtitution for barb)

Mineral Warrior (template, underdark) +2 str, +4 con, -2 int, wis, cha LA +1
(tons of NA and DR aswell)

Orc: +4 str, -2 int,wis, cha LA +0
Water orc (Unearthed Arcana): +4 str, +2 con -2 int,wis,cha LA +0

Draconic creature (template, Draconomicon) +2 str, con, cha LA +1

Lesser earth genasi (players guide to fearun) +2 str,con -2 wis,cha LA +0

Half Ogre (Savage species) +6 str, -2 dex, +2 con, -2 int, cha LA +1
(Large and NA, 3.0 although, was updated to LA +2 in Races of Destiny)

Feral Creature (template, Savage species) +4 str, -2 dex, +2 con, -4 int, +2 wis LA +1
(NA, Natural weapons, fast healing, darkvision, improved hitdice, extra speed.. most people agree that they deserve LA +3)

Dragonborn of Bahamut (template, Races of dragon) +2 con, -2 dex (Still way to OP for LA +0!)

Neaderthals (Frostburn) +2 str, +2 con, -2 int, -2 dex LA +0

12-30-07, 04:30 PM Draconic temple: +2 Str, +2 Con, +2 Cha with a level adjustment of +1. Draconmoicon, updated in Races of the Dragon.

Orc: +4 Str, -2 all metal stats. Level adjustment +0.

Minerial Warrior: +2 str, +4 Con, -2 to all mential stats. Underdark page 97.

12-30-07, 09:30 PM The best way to get a high Str and good Con modifier from racial bonuses is to be a Dragonborn Orc. No LA, +4 Str, +2 Con, but penalties to everything else.

As for Dex, Tibbit, from Dragon Compendium. They can get their Dex to ridiculous heights with their Feline Transformation ability. No LA at that.

Dragon Compendium is a collective of a number of articles from Dragon Magazine. While it does have some dragonic information in it, it is not related to the Draconimicon. The easiest place to find the DraComp is Amazon.com.

personal favorite though is the Water Orc (not aquatic) +4str +2con -2 mental no LA also UA.

Elves and Halflings of course, theres also the Catfolk (+4dex, +2cha, 40' land speed and skill buffs+1 lvl adj), kobold, goblin/hobgoblin,Grippli(Dragon Mag frog people, kinda cool), Kenku...

i got more if interested lol

I'll take a look at the 135 issue. I thought about catfolk but I'll wait until I've viewed these others.

Any thing else that can be used to increase Dex?

Gloves of Dexterity +6
Cat's Grace Spell 2nd lvl +4 for a few minutes
Level increases +1 at 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 ect..
Book of Dexterity +5 (can't recall the title of the book)
Wishes +5

Base scores are 18, 17, 14, 13, 13, 11 assign them where you want.

Going from high strength and con to high dex shooter.

Gloves of Dexterity +6

Doesnt stack, both is enhancement

Book of Dexterity +5 (can't recall the title of the book)
Wishes +5

Doesnt stack, both is Inherent

Okay, so Goliaths have those as well with an additional +2 Str. Oh well.

High Dex is incredibly easy to find. Catfolk and Githzeri are usually the two favorites for a Dex monster.

Other ways to increase Dex (that do stack):

1. Silthilar Tendons (graft, Lords of Madness) +2 Dex (unnamed)
2. Flexible Spine (graft, Lords of Madness) No actual Dex bonus, but +4 unnamed bonus to Initiative, balance, escape artist, and tumble.
3. Clockwork Armor (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/cw/20070212a) +4 circumstance bonus so long as conditions are met.

These are both enhancement bonuses, so they won't stack. If you've got an artificer buddy, have them use the Item Alteration infusion to turn the gloves' enhancement bonus into some other type.

Wishes +5
Again, these won't stack since they're the same type of bonus.

And here are a few potential bonuses you've missed:
Reduce Person (size bonus)
Bite of the Wererat (Spell Compendium, enhancement bonus)
Sohei class (Oriental Adventures, typeless bonus)
Chameleon class (Races of Destiny, competence bonus)
Assimilate (Expanded Psionics Handbook, typless bonus)

whisper gnome(Races of Stone) I know for sure it gives +2 to con but im AFB and don't remember if its +2 dex also, -2 to 2 other stats (Cha and Str I believe).
However although its LA+0 its widely heldto be the equivalent of LA+1 due to some other racial abiltiies including the stat bonuses so you may want to check w DM if you are going to play one.
