aylith 02-23-07, 01:52 PM	I was just wondering if i were to play a monstrous race would i have to take the racial HD with the monstrous race, or can i just substitute the racial HD for class levels instead. Thanks

Thomar_of_Uointer 02-23-07, 02:58 PM	Racial Hit Dice are almost always weaker than class levels, and are factored into the Level Adjustment. There is nothing in the RAW that allows you to not take Hit Dice. A hard-and-fast rule I have seen is that two Hit Dice can be dropped for one class level, but I think that cheapens the monster races system.
