08-17-07, 09:12 PM I'm looking for a low LA race which gets 2 claw attacks? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

08-17-07, 09:46 PM It's not exactly "catty" (then again neither is the raven-like kenku) but the Draconic creature template from Draconomicon applies to any living corporeal creature except a dragon, adds 2 claw attacks and some other handy features, and comes with LA +1.

The Shifter race from Eberron Campaign Setting is ECL = class level, and has Shifting (a racial Rage-like ability) that grants various benefits depending on your shifter trait -- a Razorclaw Shifter gets Str +2 and two claw attacks that do 1d4+(1 per 4 character levels) base damage while shifting. They are catlike... or bearlike, or whatever. They're descended from lycanthropes and humans, and have some animal-like features because of it.

The shifter sounds like what I want, but alas I don't have eberron. The draconic template might work, it's claws are rather weak, but the vision/stats/nat armor is nice.

Improved Natural Attack will increase your claws

08-19-07, 09:35 PM Become a psywar and take Claws of the Beast. Eventually, you'll be able to augment your claws to deal 5d6 damage each. With Improved Natural Attack, Expansion, and a Necklace of Natural Attacks, the damage can get even higher. Play a dragonblooded creature to get access to Rapid Strike and Improved Rapid Strike (Draconomicon) to get additional claw attacks.

Yeah I found this one a little bit ago. It seems soo broken though! I almost feel guilty using it...

Nat Armor +6
Fast Healing
Darkvision
Nice claws (1d6 for small creature!)
Decent stats (-4 Int hurts my warblade though)
Lots of special attacks (Imp Grab, Rake, Pounce, and rend)

all for LA +1...

My DM is pretty liberal though. The rest of the party is drow and duergar, so I think I will be ok.

I decided to make a Feral Halfling Warblade who specializes in Tiger Claw. I just picture a little guy jumping up on a big creature and ripping it's throat out RAWR! hehehe I think it should be fun.

That is an awesome image. Although I think you need some swordsage too.

No they don't. See my sig for how I fixed them to where they don't actually have claw attacks, but get something on their unarmed attacks for being half-cat.

The anthropomorphic cat from Savage Species does have claw attacks, though.
