My DM likes to use regional feats, but i never think to add them to my characters. I just realized that my Thri-Kreen dosnt have any. I was thinking that id like to have battle jump or fleet of foot. Is there any offical ruleing as to where Thri-Kreen generally come from and or what regional feats they can have? Im only three years old, and ive spent most of that time working as a mercenary body-guard for a vampiric gnome on the plane of shadow, so i could really be from anywhere i guess....

They are native to aird plains and deserts, but my knowledge of forgotten realms (Or any campagine setting for that matter) is very small so i really dont have any idea where these areas ARE.

Well there is an old desert elves used to live in, Anauroch (sp?). Thri-keen also liked eating elves, at least in older editions I think.

Take a look in Shining South it has a Thri Kreen region that should cover your question.

MMMM elves........

On a sad side note, my DM has jsut decided that i simply dont get any kind of regional feat at all, nor do i get anything to make up for the lack of one. I guess its just one more penalty for having a non-standard race. But if anyone else has suggestions feel free to post em, as always.

Multiattack would make sense for thri-keen. Also endurance and other feats related to wilderness survival, particulary for a desert.

Ah, so thats where they come from. Do they have many regional feats available for Thri-Kreen in that book? Are any of them worthwile/Interesting?

I might have to go pick up the book.

They only have three feats to choose from with them being listed in Shining South but the feat descriptions are in Player's Guide to Faerun. Two of them can be usefull for any class and the third only for barbarians.

After reading some more about the Thri Kreen for FR they can also be from the Shaar region which would give you three more feats to choose from just make sure to use the Player's Guide to Faerun since it is has the updated region and feat descriptions for 3.5.

Wait, the feats arnt actuallly IN Shining South? They are some of the ones that others get?

I dont supose "Fleet of Foot" is an option......

You got it, the Thri Kreen region is described in Shining South and stating what the regional feats are but the feats themselves are described in the Player's Guide.

The "Fleet of Foot" is an option from The Shaar region as described in the Player's Guide.

Yes i pulled out my book and see them now. I think the Thri-Kreen region is stated as being PART of the shaar. I dont know if my DM will let me take The Shaar as my region instead, but if he does, i will go with fleet of foot. Otherwise i guess ill just go with Discipline. My will save could use the boost, and it would let me get psionic focus by taking 10....

Thanks for the info. had no idea that i should look in shining south!
