Rules on frequency hearing ranges [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-17-07, 01:37 PM Are there any rules on the frequencies that a race can hear? For instance could elves with their sensitive ears hear into higher ranges (and hear a dog whistle for instance). I've never read anything about this, and i've always assumed that they were the same as humans, but now im wondering if that's a reasonable assumption or not. Any thoughts?

Although its worth pointing out that "sensitive" does not necessarily mean "hears in a wider frequency spectrum".
