| StoneSinger03-24-08, 04:02 AM | Shadar-Kai, those grey skinned, white haired, tatoo/pierced/branded/red rune covered fey from the shadowfell...A good concept or a bauched attempt at a goth anti-hero? What do you think of them? Be honest, be blunt, but be polite. :D |
| M-bark03-24-08, 12:34 PM | Don't care about them. ...probably because what you've said is the only thing I know about them. |
| Renown003-24-08, 06:45 PM | Would you mind telling me what source book this is from so I can really critique it? |
| StoneSinger03-24-08, 09:59 PM | Shadar-Kai are in the Fiend Folio, though I am not sure what page they are on. I kind of thought more people would know more about them, but you know what happens when you assume. I have seen some enworld forums on them, it seems people either love them tremendously, or absolutely hate them. Personally, I like them, but im odd. Sometimes I have noticed people use them as a Drow-substitute. |
| Naderion03-25-08, 09:06 AM | the general ide is cool, but they made them far to angsty and self-pittying to consider using them. |
| StoneSinger03-25-08, 12:23 PM | They are a bit emo, but I believe I could use them. I mean the DM can change what he wishes right? Only problem is how do you make them angsty enough to be cool, but not enough to be emo? |

| StoneSinger03-25-08, 11:15 PM | Gotta love the spiked chain. |
| ClericOfAspel03-26-08, 06:49 PM | I'm using them as "minions" (for lack of a better word) of Shar in my forgotten realms campaign. They've turned out pretty well so far and because they're cursed, it gives my goody-two-shoes cleric player the chance to redeem them instead of kebabing them. |
| StoneSinger03-26-08, 10:15 PM | If it is not cursed is it still a Shadar-kai? Even if they were not cursed I would probably still keep them just a bit angsty and connected to the plane of shadow. Or atleast the shadow part. Kind of the appeal. |
