| Grizzled Gryphon11-19-07, 09:09 PM | If you take a template that increases the size of the base creature, do you get both the ability adjustments of the template and the racial adjustment of the size increase? |
| dawnbringer11-20-07, 08:23 AM | of course you do. |
| Grizzled Gryphon11-20-07, 08:03 PM | I thought so, but from something I read earlier, I wasn't so sure... |
| Kadasbrass11-21-07, 09:01 AM | Well since there are few templates that deal with Size change (I can only think of two, one from the mm2 and one from SS), it seems like the sort of thing covered case by case since its not a common thing (i.e. should be covered by the template somewhere) |

| Lord Otaku12-31-07, 10:12 AM | Well since there are few templates that deal with Size change (I can only think of two, one from the mm2 and one from SS), it seems like the sort of thing covered case by case since its not a common thing (i.e. should be covered by the template somewhere) This brings up a good question. What Templates cause a change in size (to shrink or grow)? I know there is the Dungeonbred template from Dungeonscape, that decreases a monster's Size. Any others? (I wish there was a Template to get Slight Build. Oh well.) |
| Kadasbrass12-31-07, 07:39 PM | Well the one in MM2 Is the Titanic Template, turn a animal I believe into a gartuan or collosal sized creature (raises creatures hd to 20), and the ability score changes are based on what the base creature's size was. The other one is the Taurian Template from SS for combining two different creatures into a half/half thing. The first one isn't for PCs and the 2nd is possible but suffers from LA and HD issues. |
