(RoD) I have a character that wants to play one, though the jury is out as I don't see how a hateful and angry type character can fit in, especially when it hates humanoids as a whole. Reading through, the listing it is listed as a +1 racial adjustment, however, they begin with 2 lvl of humanoid? How is that possible in a +1 adjustment? So do they start as a 3rd level character or a 1st level adjusted +1 character for experience? From the next section where it talks about using the monster classes instead of level adjustment, it would sound as if the character would start at 4th level (3 skulk and 1 whatever) or a +3 lvl adjustment. It is very confusing. Next is the skills. If it is only a +1, then does it only get 1 lvl of skill points then pick up as a standard class or does it get 3 levels since it has 2 levels of humanoid? AGain, how does that work in the later if it is only a +1 adjustment. And we won't even start on the abilities and mods that would make super rogue here. Another reason I think it is a typo and should be a +3 adjustment. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks. |

Thus, you need to be 4th lv before you are eligible for your 1st class lv. You get 2 HD worth of skills (from its 2 humanoid HD). It does not so much make a good rogue as much as it makes a good scout, mainly because it only starts with (2+int mod)*4 of skill points, as opposed to the (8+int mod)*4 a 1st lv rogue would get. Thus, you are missing out on 24 skill points (meaning a lot of key rogue skills will have to be sacrificed), and it is too hard for you to play catch up. |
