| VexalUntil01-12-08, 12:34 AM | I am looking for a small sized race for my Fighter 2 (or 4)/Paladin X. I want a race that can ride a mount while in a dungeon or other tight quarters. My initial idea was a gnome or halfling, but I would be taking the multiclass penalty. I really want the two levels of Ftr for the two feats. I would really prefer a race with out a level adjustment, but I'm open to all suggestions. Also the favored class should be fighter or paladin. Thanks for your help. |

| Borris01-12-08, 08:12 AM | Have you considered playing a Dragonborn halfling or gnome? The half-template half-race changes your favored class to fighter, so you won't have any problem on this side. And if you intend to play a mounted fighter/paladin, you'll likely be wearing heavy armor all the time, so the +2 Con -2 Dex is a good thing. I'd go for a gnome, personnaly. Since you lose all your racial traits except for size, speed, ability scores, and languages, I guess the gnome's bonus to Con would be better than the halfling's bonus to Dex (with a full-plate, you won't want a Dex over 12 anyway), but it's all a matter of preference. |

I had thought about being a dwarf with reduce person/permanancy cast on me, but I just didn't want to spend the gold. I had a guy in my old group who played a halfling with reduce person cast on him. He was nuts. AC in the mid 20s with almost nothing on. |
