| Kopana04-08-07, 04:03 PM | What's the smallest race you can think of that doesn't have an LA? My sister still hasn't managed to get over the idea of being a tiny or smaller caster who rides around in her friends pocket. Preferably a flying race, because how else could such teeny little things get around? Also, no casting reduce humanoid on another race. |
| bloodtalon04-08-07, 04:10 PM | if you have 2e's monstrous compendium annal vol. 4 and want to work the kercpa into it basically they are 12 to 18 inch tall squirrel-folk |
| j3st3r04-08-07, 04:30 PM | I would guess that the tiniest player race would be sized as TINY (A Tiny creature is typically between 1 and 2 feet in height or length and weighs between 1 and 8 pounds.). Since you've allready seen the other post that is about tiny races, I won't mention those races again, except that the tiny race that has lowest LA and is able to fly is Grig (can be found from the Monster Manual and as a player character from Savage Species). |
| celestialkin04-08-07, 04:47 PM | My sister still hasn't managed to get over the idea of being a tiny or smaller caster who rides around in her friends pocket. LoL. I can understand why. Trust me it can be quite fun playing a tiny or smaller race if you do it right, and riding around on your friends can be interesting (especially in combat). The only tiny or smaller race without a level adjustment I can think of is still an awakened animal. Since she's going for a caster her size, strength, and lack of thumbs wouldn't be as big of a problem. And if lacking hands is too much for her there are items which can make her claws/paws function as hands. |
| CaoSlayer04-08-07, 07:35 PM | well, you can play as a hengekyogai (sp) with the form of a robin or a cat without LA. |
| calronmoonflower04-08-07, 08:08 PM | A tibbit from Dragon Compendium can become a cat without the drawbacks that hengeyokai face. |
| Kopana04-08-07, 09:37 PM | Actually she's played a Tibbit before, I tried them too, they're a great race, she apparently got sick of them saying she only played cat races, and murdered them all in their sleep. |

Yup, she definitely sounds like a gamer chick. Anyways, there really aren't many options for when it comes to smaller than small races with no level adjustments, or very low level adjustments. They have all probably been listed already in this thread and the tiny races thread which appeared before yours. If you both want something different you two and your DM might need to homebrew it. |
| Part-Human204-09-07, 12:32 AM | Jermlaine (Tiny Fey, MMII) (+0 LA is in 3.5 update document) Muckdwellers (Tiny Monstrous Humanoid, FR:SK) |
| Kopana04-09-07, 03:48 PM | Actually, she ended up stumbling onto the idea of having a no-LA wizard, and ended up playing a halfling, she's apparently using a feat from the BoVD, it's a different kind of quicken spell-like ability, she took some really neat stuff and now she can teleport short distances, fly, climb on walls, create walls of fire, shatter anything she wants, and any number of other seemingly ridiculous things which make for a really really awesome character. I want to play a Warlock now :P |
