Ok so for basically all of the games i have played in i for somereason go hum. Im looking to go something different, but i need it not to adjust the lvl.

So here is the build i have going. Im wanting a Sorc that is focused in Nec spells. He is working at the morgue when he learns of his spells. The land he is from spell casters are looked down on and are even hunted. Main reason why i went sorc is because its something that is sparked in the person. Kind of the spark of the source in him. Size doesnt really matter to much could be small to large. I can build the back story around what sounds good. I have the PHB but i can get a hold of any book that has races in it. Im just looking for something new and fun. any help would be awsome. Thank you.

If you were looking for a wizard, I'd suggest my favourite race, the goblin. They can do okay as sorcerers, but the charisma penalty is a pain in the ass. However, small size and boosted dexterity is still a good thing for sorcerers... why not try a kobold? Or maybe a halfling? Though I'm not a big fan of small races with only a 20' move speed, myself -- it makes it hard to evade the grasp of larger creatures that would use your reduced strength and your size penalty on most opposed checks against you.

Dave Arneson's Blackmoor campaign setting has a very slight variaton to the sorcerer. In that land, Wizards are the socially accepted aracanists while sorcerers are seen as dangerous. From time to time even the peasants form a mob and stone one to death.

The biggest difference mechanically is the addition of Disguise, Hide and Sense Motive to the list of class skills.
