Soul reaver [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-17-07, 09:54 PM I'm sure that I'm not the first to want Raziel as a D&D character but as many can tell I'm having trouble T_T

and here's what im missing
1.race
2.class(not for this fourm i know)
3.weapons http://images.legacyofkain.net/defiance/fankit/characters/Raziel.jpg
4.armor (to keep a constant similar look that keeps wings open)
5.wings that glide only and not fly
6.he dosent eat? should he in D&D
7.in the game he's and x vampire but dosent retain almost any vampiric property's
8.finally what's gonna be custom.

if any one can tell I'm fairly new to D&D so help with my noob questions would be nice

also the weapon in the pic above is for like my final one so whatever is cool.

also I'm thinking psionic's(cant spell that) might work good with my sword

10-17-07, 10:09 PM first off, raziel is a soulknife, easily, secondly... wait... are you doing raziel before or after the first game? cuz theres a big difference.
just change up the vampire abilities a bit (like consuming souls instead of blood) get rid of that "you cant come into my house" maybe add ethereaness... or psionic plane shift (to the ethereal plane only) upon death? what happens from here depends on which version your using.

10-17-07, 10:16 PM well i have only played Soul reaver 2 to the point where the sword drains your life. i love the game ^_^ got it on game tap, but i guess a simple raziel would be good but ive read the fan fourms and found that he get's power's later on.

He was human to begin with... wasn't he? Wait, do Vampire breed true in that world?... OH THATS RIGHT HE GOT RESSURECTED, but was human to begin with

Probably Soul Knife or whatever that psionic mind blade conjuring class thing is

Er... the soul knife thing from above mentioned class

Well... he doesn't really wear armor per-sae, so i guess Bracers (possibly changed to a cloak or neck slotted scarf thing) of Protection would work

Something (an item) that provides 'feather fall' at will

6.he dosent eat? should he in D&D

Well, he's kinda a vampire, but then changed. So is he still undead? Is he an outsider? Either way, he doesn't eat, sleep or breathe anymore - so both of those types would work for this

7.in the game he's and x vampire but dosent retain almost any vampiric property's

Then don't make him a vampire. Make him something else. I guess you could keep the vampiric stats and use the... crap what's it called... there is a Soul Eater prestige class in one of the undead obsessed books... Libris Mortis or Book of Vile Darkness or something like that. That class would make him a vampire that no longer hungers for blood (because it is replaced) but hungers for souls

8.finally what's gonna be custom.

Hmm... custom... well, he can kinda jump into the Etherial Plane at certain points... wait is it ethereal?... Anyway, your gonna have to cater to that somehow. Some form of darkvision is a muct (but i think vampire takes care of that) and for the special abilities he earns through the games that would really be entirely up too you, as i don't know if you want him as 'bog standard Raziel' or 'Tweaked to the 9's with uber-powerups Raziel'

10-18-07, 01:44 AM I agree that he should be a soulknife, and the Soul Eater prc would be very in-character fir him, but you should also consider the Kensai prc to reflect the forging of the reaver in SR2. Also, a permanent effect that duplicates the glide power would be more fitting for the wings.
