I was just wondering about the drow.

Making a female Drow cleric (NPC) takes her Domains of Destruction and Trickery...And the drow are evil, so she can't cast healing spells...or would the hurt spells heal the Drow???

Thanks for the advice.

RE: Can't cast healing spells.
Being Evil and worshipping and evil goddess bars Drow from spontaneously casting healing spells (that is, using any of their spell slots to cast healing spells regardless of prepared spells). They can still prepare healing spells in their slots, and spontaneously cast inflict spells.

RE: Healing spells harming Drow.
Drow are not undead, and thus not harmed by healing spells. As far as I know, the only creatures harmed by healing spells are undead, regardless of how evil said creature is.

The_Narrator is right on both parts.
1) Drow (or any other evil cleric) can cast healing spells, but their spells are converted to harming spells. However, you could use a wand of Cure Light Wounds or Cure Moderate Wounds. If it's too expensive, you can ask a share from the other PCs (they WILL benefit it, and after all, as a female cleric, you will be the leader), or perhaps bargain with the DM a wand with half the charges remaining for half the price.

2) Yeah, usually only undeads are healed by Inflict or Harm spells. Some rares monstrous humanoids or outsiders can also be healed by such spells, but it's noted as a special quality in their description. Drow are not healed this way...

Unless they take a feat. "Tomb born soul" is it? I belive it is in Libris Mortis. Your treated as undead for the purpose of healing and inflicting spells
