Fenrir_Greyback 03-05-08, 04:58 PM	I'd go with half orc, or if you want, analyze the difference in lifespan between a human and a half orc, then double it to get the orc lifespan. That's actually probably closest. Except that you only live like 20 years or something...
realphilbo 03-05-08, 05:17 PM	I was thinking that ogres are somewhat related to giants, who live quite awhile, they would be old, but considering ogres are scavengers and are poorly kept, I would say maybe start at 20 years and go 75/125/175 (middle age/old/venerable) years old max age and 2d20 the modifier.

Well, most races like orcs, goblins, ogres, etc. Actually tend to hit adulthood between 12-16 or so and die around 50's-ish, most of the time, if I am generalizing correctly... I think that they are quite short lived races. I'm pretty sure most of them all live shorter lives that humans.

I think ogres are a little 'hardier' than the other goblinoid creatures due to their giant heritage....but maybe my century old ogre seems a little too old. :thinks:

Just like any animal that matures really quickly. They are out in the toughest parts of the world, disease, natural enemies, weather conditions, etc, so many things are working against them that the species learns to spread itself quickly and therefore doesn't need to live long. While they ARE living however, they can stand up to nearly anything. It's not at all that they aren't hardy, there are plenty of hardy creatures that have shorter life spans in RL. Plus, I don't want to literally post the half-ogre ages for you because I don't know if that would break COC or not... Trust me though, they don't live long.
