Content in Savage Species about Half-Troll language use: Giant, which has no alphabet of its own, uses Dwarven script on the rare occasion that someone writes something down in Ogre. Ogre writing turns up most frequently in graffiti.

I can't remember the last time the ability to speak orc came up. . . but its been a while ago. The ability to speak troll has NEVER come up in more than 25 years of playing D&D!!

I could couldn't care less what alphabet they use or if they happen to be similar!
