vstat 05-17-07, 09:27 PM	I am creating a monster party mostly for fun, but maybe I will get a chance to use it one day. I need a race that would be a good spellcaster (either wizard or druid), so I am looking for something with bonuses to INT or WIS. I thought about pixie, but decided to use that for rogue instead. Below is what I have. Total ECL for characters is 10. So far the other 3 have at least 6 class levels. I would like to aim for the same neighborhood with the caster. Thri-Kreen Fighter Lumi Cleric Pixie Rogue ???? Also, any other cool concept ideas? I was thinking of adding a centaur ranger (archery style) later.

jakelslang21 05-17-07, 10:03 PM	Yuan-Ti pureblood druid? I played one with a viper companion and he didnt turn out to be that bad. Also maybe a Harssaf monk? It has a total of 10HD but if you boost the ecl by one he could work?

YabaTheWhat 05-18-07, 08:18 AM	Sylph sorcerer might be good, though the similarities with the pixie rogue could work for or against the idea. (Make the pixie male and the sylph female, and you've got yourself a romantic couple.)

Orchomenos 05-19-07, 02:27 PM	Lycanthropes get a +2 bonus to Wisdom. You could choose an animal without too many HD, like the were-rat, and then play an interesting cleric.
FatMonkey13 05-19-07, 03:59 PM	Deep Imaskari, LA +1 Since when do Deep Imaskari have a LA? Also they are not very monsterous. Why not a Tiefling Wizard. Though very human they are a far more playable choice than half-fiends for casters. Put in the feats for wings and it is even more monsterous.

From what I know about monster PCS If the monster has a advancement under advancement entry then they can multi class in Character classes when ever they want. Savage sp help with the monster classes but all you need to do is divide their HD by their LA rounding down and thats how many hit die they have to gain before gaining a LA level with no HD. SS also has stats for just start out races before levels are added. You could rule that they could start with just these and not use LA at all.
snakeman830 05-21-07, 09:00 AM	Choker druid/monk? (I assume +6 LA for my purposes, though there is no published LA anywhere for them.) I think they get a bonus to Wisdom.
