The race is a mostly spartanistic regime controlled by a center insect ruler (like a queen or something) and work together to coordinate movement of the creature to replicate the bigger creature that exist within the world. | TheAngryFish05-30-07, 10:12 PM | So, the actual thing you play is a swarm of insects that function as a medium creature, kind of like the monster from Bonesnatcher I guess. Go into some more detail, the things I most want to know is how someone would play this race, and how you are figuring what bonuses they have. With the attribute bonuses and the character benefits of having swarm traits, it seems like it should have a fairly high LA. |
| Part-Human205-30-07, 10:19 PM | Sithilar (LoM) are the only playable Swarm race in the books and are 9HD + 8 LA. You might want to compare abilities between the two. You missed a number of swarm traits, was it on purpose? Shouldn't all swarms follow the same rules? |
| riftdragon05-30-07, 10:25 PM | Actually i did because i wanted the la to be reduce slightly and I'll modify the thing so the abilities are explained |
| Leo05-31-07, 03:07 PM | So, how exactly can they manage equipment, or even talk? Can they do somatic and vocal components for spellcasting? Can they hold a sword? |

Yeah, I can see why you condensed the swarm traits. Looks like a weak LA +2. You could probably get away with giving them a swarm attack determined by their class level. |
