| Omega_Grey09-11-07, 08:48 PM | I am basically 100% sure (probably more like 93.6%) that it goes by racial hit dice and not class level. |
| Crimson_Concerto09-11-07, 08:58 PM | I was under the impression that all HD were fair game, including class HD and not just racial HD, but don't quote me on that one... |
| Meep32609-11-07, 09:18 PM | It's somewhat split, if I remember correctly the Half-Celestial and Half-Feind spell-like abilities allow you to have racial and/or class levels to work. I'd say you'd get em, that's part of the LA/CR adjustment. |
| Fireclave09-11-07, 09:29 PM | Generally, if an ability runs off of racial HD and not HD derived from class levels, the ability description will say so. For example, creatures with the Half-Celestial template gain more spell-like abilities as they advance in HD; the DC for a half-dragon's breath weapon is explicitly a function of its racial HD. |
