However, Qu can move at this speed even when wearing medium or heavy armor or when carrying a medium or heavy load (unlike other creatures, whose speed is reduced in such situations), Swim 30 feet Abilities: +2 Con, -2 Int, -2 Wis Natural Armor +1 Aquatic: Qu can swim with out making swim checks and may hold it's breath for 4 times it's Constitution score. Swamp Lore: Qu do not suffer movement penalties in Marsh Terrain and have acid resistance 5. Stability: A Qu gains a +4 bonus on ability checks made to resist being bull rushed or tripped when standing on the ground (but not when climbing, flying, riding, or otherwise not standing firmly on the ground). Monsterous: Qu have the scent and swallow whole abilities. As monsterous humanoids, Qu are not subject to spells that target humanoids. Low-light vision. +2 racial bonus on saving throws against poison, this increases to +6 versus ingested poisons. Skills: +8 Profession (Cook/Chef), +2 search, +2 Spellcraft, -2 Diplomancy, -2 Bluff, -2 Gather Information. (also illiterate) Languages: Common, Aquan Bonus Feat: Endurance. Favored Class: Blue Mage (substitute sorcerer) And that's how we played 'em. I played a Qu blue mage character for a long long time. No level adjustment either, the penalties and role playing difficulties...balance it nicely in my opinion. Any thoughts? |

| Otogi08-23-07, 07:36 AM | Why is it hard to roleplay them? |
| imakuni6708-23-07, 09:33 AM | You'd have to play Final Fantasy IX to really know. They have a voracious appetite, and speak pidgin English (err...Pidgin Common), and just lack knowledge of many basic things. I avoided the level adjustment mostly on those facts |
