The Ultimate Race for a UBER PC [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-23-07, 06:30 PM What would race would you say would make an awsome player? i personally would choose a Klurcher barbarian/sorcerer (dont know how to spell it, is in the feind folio!) because of their shear strength and spell like abilities.

08-23-07, 07:35 PM Generally speaking the best race for the widest cross section of classes is HUMAN. Other races certainly can do better at some jobs while other may be much stronger they're also likely to come with LA bagage which doesn't make them a good all around race.

Early on you will be better than a rogue (even if you don't put ranks into hide OR move silently!) in addition to your other class.

And if you end up going rogue.... Well..... You don't need to bring a D20 for hide/move silently, you just do it.

08-23-07, 09:42 PM Human is a very powerful race when utilized well. I find goblins (plain monster manual goblins, no variant subraces) are damned good for quite a few purposes as well.

Then again I find folks that use the word "UBER" seriously tend not to understand the intricacies of character building, so elaborating seems fairly pointless.
