:uh-huh: so your saying that people who don't live in houses like yours are a separate species? There is no reason for a human who grew up in different conditions to evolve overnight. It would take millenia for a group of segregated humans to evolve into a subspecies. So take this racist crap off the boards.

LOL

I was expecting to see something like the OP requesting stats, or a [PEACH] of some sort. I already had my response planned out:
Give them a bonus feat, 4 extra skill points at first level, and an extra skill point each level thereafter.

Whoa, whoa Rerecros. Chill, man.

You're right, just cause they don't live in our houses doesn't make them any different. But that's not the only difference. They're bigger, tougher. They've adapted to the natural world. They've lost their touch, so to speak, with social life. They aren't slightly different, they're entirely different. They are still humans, about as much as wild elves are still elves.

And "It would take millenia for a group of segregated humans to evolve into a subspecies"...

They did have millenia.

This isn't racist, this is creating races. If it were elves, or halflings, you'd not have a single issue. I don't want to combine my real world and my fantasy. Thats why i play fantasy games.

Keraz, put it back up.

Elves are fiction. Humans aren't. Humans are the same even if you are tribal. Just because you don't live in a city doesn't make you an entire new sub-species of a person.

However even if its fiction, to say "Black people" have different stats than "Purple people" is racist. Also saying that people who live in tribes are a subrace, its stupid. Makes no sense even if it is fantasy. Humans are Humans unless they've somehow mixed with another species or adapted to a hostile environment (like Water or Fire).

It was intentional in the core to make humans able to be adapted easily as any culture. You're just asking for trouble, when you say things like "I'm going to give a higher intelligence to the white people and a better constitution to black people" Which is essentially what the OP did.

Humanity is a singular species, that has gone basically unchanged since it evolved. To create a human subspecies the relation would have to be much more distant, at closest decended from Neanderthals instead of Cro-Magnon. Though it's much easier to say that a subspecies was magically engineered somehow, or hybrid with some other type of creature.

The only reason I don't attack the other subraces (which I don't use or allow in my games) is because there is no one to offend, nor any real real world scientific data to refute them.

Did I explicitly state that they weren't magically altered, or perhaps that their environment is fantastically harsh? I don't think I did. And I did not create this subrace with the intention of offending anyone, and if since its creating an issue, it seems it needs to be taken down. I don't like causing debates, I was merely asking for input. All I was going for was an offshoot of the 'Conan' archetype (although that doesn't exactly fit my view of where they would fit in my campaign.) And if this -is- offensive, then you can go call games like Everquest offensive, because they have the same sort of thing. But again, its creating an issue, so its going to be taken down.

Then you should begin to revolt against halfling, since they really existed. Floresiensis Man (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floresiensis)

And if you don't want to offend anyone, you're better to stop using humans and use all the other subraces. After all, telling that a human can cast spells might offend many more people than creating a sub-race of stronger and harsher people.

But back to the OP. I also think that a "Tribal" human should have the same stats than any other human. After all, people of any culture are fully genetically compatible with any people of any other culture; the offspring would inherit an average of both parents ability scores, but any skill are only due to training and learning.
In order to reflect a tribal human, you could use the Shifters (who are able to adopt some of their "totem" animal(s) aspects). You could use classes, like barbarian and spirit shaman. I also suggest you to use Racial Paragons (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/races/racialParagonClasses.htm); while the Human Paragon is already very adaptable, you could create another one with a better BAB, HD and Fort save.

Did we say they were black?

These humans have evolved and adapted to their world, to the point where they can only really be called human because they dont have pointed ears like an elf.

Yes, humanity is a singular species. In this world. We aren't talking about Earth in the Sol system, we're talking about Keresach.

We dont want to use science here! Then we have to start questioning the possible genetic relationship between elves, humans and orcs, because apparently they can interbreed. This isn't real life. I can't stop reiterating this. This is a fantasy game.

I'm confused about the whole "racism" issue. I mean, we have the Neanderthal from Frostburn, which is considered human for all effects related to race. If we have a 'primitive' version of the race (I apologize to all Neanderthals who may be offended by this post), why can't someone make a subspecies of the race based on a tribal setting? Perhaps forgoing the bonus feat for bonuses to attack rolls with certain weapons, like a halfling with thrown weapons and slings? Or perhaps granting bonuses to certain skills?

This is not racist at all. Saying that people from different cultures are better at different things is plain old common sense if you ask me.

political correctness is another word for censorship
any time a person cannot say what they want that does not advocate treason or hurting some it is censorship
better hear what people think then let them find others to plot and kill inocents because of a idiology
